About Books for All
BfA Books began as a way for Dr. Frederick Osborn to distribute his self-published books and make them available to a larger audience. In 2017 we decided to make BfA Books an online platform to promote his books and to RECOMMENDED BOOKS to those who have a heart for missions and ministry. The books we recommend are intended to inform, encourage, and inspire all Christians to become more involved in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20.

The Way, the Truth, and the Life: The Teachings and Ministry of Jesus the Messiah
Beginning with Luke’s inspired account numerous books have been written that attempt to describe the life of Jesus of Nazareth in an orderly fashion. However, one of the great challenges for the modern commentator is the fact that the Gospel writers were not historians by contemporary standards. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were first and foremost, missionaries; and the stories they told had one primary purpose: to convince their readers that what they testified about Jesus Christ was faithful and true.
Frederick Osborn has spent the last twelve years on the mission fields of South Asia preaching and teaching the Gospel in cross-cultural settings. Relying upon the texts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, his goal is to make convincing arguments to communicate the idea that through His life, death, and resurrection Jesus of Nazareth is indeed Lord and Christ for all who believe.
This study on the life of Christ is topical not chronological. It does not completely ignore the Gospels’ sequence of events, but the topics overlap at times and at times the chronology is not precise. The topics will at least touch on every major event, and will only go into details when those details are necessary to give greater depth and understanding to the particular topic of that lesson. This volume is a wide-ranging study of the words and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. In the end it will be thorough and complete.

The Physics of Heaven: The Theology of the New Apostolic Reformation
This book is Frederick Osborn's follow up to "The New Reformation: An Assessment of the New Apostolic Reformation from Toronto to Redding." In his first book on the NAR the author takes a broad overview of this movement. In "The Physics of Heaven: The Theology of the New Apostolic Reformation" the author turns his sights on the book written in 2012 by Judy Franklin & Ellyn Davis. Their book is endorsed by a number of recognized leaders of what has evolved into the New Apostolic Reformation movement in the 21st century church. Without a doubt, their book represents the foundations upon which the theology of the new Apostles and Prophets of this movement is based. In his review of "The Physics of Heaven" the author goes through their book chapter by chapter, discusses the primary ideas presented in each of those chapters, and contrasts them with the mainstream theology of the Christian faith.

Our Jehovah Rapha
Part Bible commentary, and part commentary on contemporary issues, Rev. Frederick Osborn examines a broad range of topics relating to healing and health. Drawing on his many years of experience as a full-time missionary in South Asia, the author offers Christ-centered answers to questions believers around the world often ask concerning healing, and health. The Bible teaches us that wellness involves more than the physical body. True health and well-being requires the body, soul, and spirit of the individual to be in proper balance and in harmony with their Creator's divine design. Among the many names in Scripture that describe our God, Jehovah Rapha ("The Lord our healer"), is the one that best describes His healing attributes. Although most Christians believe God is able to heal, for most of them, when, where, why, and how God heals His people is still a mystery. It is the author's hope and prayer that this book will help those who read and study it to have a better understanding of our God the Healer.

Reviving A Nation
Lessons from the History of Revivals For the 21st Century Church Charles Finney, the father of modern revivals, called revival a "renewed conviction of sin and repentance, followed by an intense desire to live in obedience to God.” In order for revival to take place on a personal level, it requires the absolute surrender of one's will to God in prayer and deep humility. The question is often asked, “Who is responsible for revival: God or man?” To satisfactorily answer that question, the author of “Reviving a Nation” reviews the ancient biblical record of revivals led by Judah’s good kings along with the more recent history of America’s Great Awakenings. Comparing and contrasting the successes and failures of previous revivals helps the reader to draw his or her own conclusions about what constitutes a true revival, what America’s needs are at this moment for revival, and how revival can be sparked first in the individual Christian, and then in the home, family, community and finally in the nation as a whole. Drawing from his 35 years of experience as a Christian (who was, is, and always will be in need of personal revival) and from his many years of experience on mission fields around the world, the author points the way for all those who are looking for a revival personally, for the church, and the American nation in the 21st century. "It's true that (many) are praying for a worldwide revival. But it would be more timely, and more scriptural, for prayer to be made to the Lord of the harvest, that He would raise up and thrust forth laborers who would fearlessly and faithfully preach those truths which are calculated to bring about a revival." - A. W. Pink

The Apocalyptic Vision: Understanding the Apocalyptic Writings of the Bible

The Holy Spirit In You: Nourishing the Life of Holiness and Power in You.
Frederick Osborn is the author of twenty-five books and study guides on a variety of biblical topics. In his latest book, he examines the Fruit and Gifts of the Spirit in the life of the believer. Recognizing that how the believer understands the work of the Holy Spirit in their life concerning both the fruit and gifts, will greatly affect their Christian walk, the author clearly defines the fruit of the Spirit and how those fruits are produced in those who abide in the Vine. He also identifies and defines what the spiritual gifts are and how they are to be used for ministry. Neither dogmatically Pentecostal nor Charismatic in its approach, The Holy Spirit in You is however, straight-forward in its advocacy of the exchanged life theology that speaks of the twofold substitution resulting from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice. The first exchange is the charging of the believer’s sin to Christ which results in God’s forgiveness, and second is the crediting of Christ’s righteousness to the believer which results in his justification and sanctification. The fruit, gifts, and ministries of the Holy Spirit are the evidences that the exchange has taken place and the believer is truly living his or her life in complete submission to the word of God.

The New Reformation: An Assessment of the New Apostolic Reformation from Toronto to Redding
"The New Apostolic Reformation is not a cult" insist its leaders. Those who affiliate with it believe the Apostles' Creed and all the standard classic statements of Christian doctrine. However what the NAR does represent says one of its most respected leaders, C. Peter Wagner, Ph.D. is "the most radical change in the way of doing church since the Protestant Reformation." Drawing from his many years of experience as a full-time missionary on the mission fields of Asia, and thousands of hours of study, Bible teaching, leadership and discipleship training in villages and urban centers he has completed around the world, Frederick Osborn offers a brief, but objective evaluation of the movement so far. The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has changed traditional Protestantism regarding the quality of church life, polity, worship, theology, missional goals, and our view of the eschatological future. But have all these changes been good? As this movement spreads, questions are being raised by many Christians concerning this movement. Have all the changes wrought by the NAR opened the door for a new wave of false teachers and prophets to come into the ranks of the church? Are these false teachers and prophets like the ancient Gnostics and Judaizers of the early church that brought with them destructive heresies? Must they be confronted and done away with before they run all of Christianity off the rails of biblical truth and into a postmodern no-man's-land where practically anything and everything goes? A definitive answer is not offered here, but some biblical guidelines are offered for evaluating and assessing what this new prophetic-apostolic movement represents.

Church Planting Movements - India Principles for Rapid Expansion of the Church in India
In the year, 1999, David Garrison, the Associate Vice President, Strategy Coordination and Mobilization, for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention completed an assignment to profile the growing number of Church Planting Movements that were appearing in their work around the world. The final result of this assignment was published by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in a small pamphlet of 60 pages, appropriately titled, Church Planting Movements. Although many people in India were involved in missions work long before this report was written and there are many missionaries still working in India today, the major emphasis of their work so far has been making new converts, social works, and building church buildings. There are a number of reasons why missionaries have not been successful in initiating true Church Planting Movements (CPMs), which will be examined in detail in this book, but the primary reasons are because traditional methods of planting churches involve enormous costs in purchasing land and building church buildings, and there remains a shortage of seminary-trained ministry leaders who have studied and understood what a CPM is all about. However if they were encouraged, equipped, and educated, there are enough indigenous workers ready, willing, and able to evangelize the lost and start Church Planting Movements across India. Today there is an increased desire among village pastors to plant new churches, but they are often delayed because of the tremendous burden and crippling financial drain involved in obtaining land and building church buildings. Following the traditional model it would not take long before all of the efforts of church planters would be poured into fundraising for building churches. However, after reading David Garrison’s report, one will realize two things: first is how important it is to place more emphasis on biblical church planting strategies among the marginalized communities; and second is how important it is to understand from the book of Acts what are the qualities and characteristics of a genuine Church Planting Movement.

The Book of Acts: The Holy Spirit's Handbook for Church Planting Movements
The Book of Acts is often studied and presented in sermons and in Sunday School lessons as interesting church history, but little more. Some spiritual principles may be drawn out of its stories, but the idea that the Holy Spirit gave Acts to the church to be our handbook or training manual for how to fulfill the Great Commission is often overlooked. “That was then” most will say, “but this is a different time and place. Surely, the Lord does not intend for the church to experience the same results today!” But the evidence from around the world is clear: the church planting paradigm of Acts produces rapid, exponential growth of the kingdom whenever or wherever it is properly applied. “From every corner of the globe the reports are coming in. Only a few at first, but now more and more frequently, reinforcing one another with their startling accounts of hundreds, thousands, and even tens of thousands coming to faith in Christ, forming into churches and spreading their new found faith” (David Garrison, Church Planting Movements, 1999). What David Garrison was describing could just as easily have been an introduction to the Book of Acts; for that was exactly what Luke was describing as he recorded the rapid expansion of the church that started in Jerusalem on that first Pentecost after Jesus’ Resurrection and Ascension. This Study Guide is intended for individuals or groups who want to study Acts from a fresh perspective and at the same time learn how they can be personally and actively involved in this worldwide movement of church planting. Moving chapter by chapter through the Book of Acts, the Study Guide incorporates the principles of church planting movements today and clearly demonstrates (1) these principles are straight out of the Book of Acts, and (2) Acts was in fact, given to the church by the Holy Spirit to show us "How to..." fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) that is and has been our mandate from the beginning.

The Gospel Of Salvation
The Gospel of Salvation: Our Complete Salvation in Body, Soul, and Spirit is for those who want more than a surface understanding of what their salvation is all about. As a fulltime missionary, writer, and teacher of God’s revelation in the Bible, it is the author’s firm belief that every Christian should have more than a surface knowledge of what is their complete salvation in Christ Jesus. As a missionary, writer, and teacher of God’s revelation in the Bible, it is also his firm belief that he must do everything possible to make the complex aspect of our faith in Christ understandable to as many people as possible. To the end, he has simplified the complex, theological study of soteriology, taken it out of the seminary classroom, and through this modest work, made it possible for the average Christian to study and understand.

The Spirit of Religion
“I’m not religious. I just love the Lord.”
It is a popular bumper sticker proudly displayed for all to see. But there was a time when being called “religious” was a compliment and not an insult. Can a person be religious and still love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength?
When and how did it happen that “religion” became an uncomplimentary word? Is it true that all religious people are hurtful, sanctimonious legalists that cannot tolerate anyone who is not like them? Should we gather up our whips made of cords and drive all of these intolerant ones out of our churches like money changers in the Temple?
There are those who say religious people are plagued by “religious spirits” – demons that turn otherwise nice people into evil vision killers and "party poopers" in the church. Christians with these evil religious spirits are said to be motivated by fear and suspicion of anything that is new, strange, and unfamiliar. Are they right who say that religious people are plagued by demons and must be delivered? Are religious Christians, merely traditional obstructionists – legalists that love to throw Bible passages at free spirits in the church in order to quench the Spirit and rein them in? Should the religious abandon their stance and join parade of the non-religious believers who claim the moral high ground as the truly loving, tolerant, totally free spirits who claim that truly following Jesus means worshiping God however they please free of any restrictions?
Is it true what they say, that Jesus was not a religious person and therefore we should shun any and all trappings of religion? Is there such a thing as a pure and undefiled Christian religion? And if so, what does it look like? Can we truly love the Lord and still be religious?
All these questions and more are answered as the author of The Spirit of Religion takes the reader through the Scriptures in search of the answers.

The Gospel Of Salvation Study Guide Our Complete Salvation in Body, Soul, and Spirit
The Gospel of Salvation Study Guide is for those who want more than a surface understanding of what their salvation is all about. As a fulltime missionary, writer, and teacher of God's revelation in the Bible, it is the author's firm belief that every Christian should have more than a surface knowledge of what is their complete salvation in Christ Jesus. It is also Frederick Osborn's firm belief that he must do everything possible to make the complex aspect of our faith in Christ understandable to as many people as possible. To that end, the author has simplified the complex, theological study of soteriology, taken it out of the seminary classroom, and through this study guide, made it possible for the average Christian to study and understand. This study guide can be used for individual or group study; it can also be used with the companion book, The Gospel of Salvation Study Guide: Our Complete Salvation in Body, Soul, and Spirit.

The Gospel Of The Kingdom
This Gospel of the Kingdom book was written by the author as a companion to his Study Guide of the same name. This Gospel of the Kingdom Study Guide has been translated into several languages and has been used by hundreds of Bible students to increase their understanding of Jesus' teachings on the Kingdom of God.

This Gospel of the Kingdom Study Guide
This guide has been used to teach the principles of Jesus' teachings on the kingdom of God to hundreds of students in several languages. Also available in digital format this study guide can be used for individual or group study. The companion book by the same author can be used by the leader of a group to enhance their teaching or it can be used by the individual student with the Study Guide for self study. Alone or with the companion book, "This Gospel of the Kingdom Study Guide" will lead the student through all of Jesus' major teachings on the kingdom from His public sermons. Part II of this Study Guide covers all the major parables of Jesus that directly spoke on the mysteries of God's kingdom.
After completing this Study Guide, the student will have a strong understanding of all of Jesus' teachings on the kingdom of God; they will have a solid framework upon which to build future studies on the kingdom; and they will understand exactly why the kingdom of God was such an important part of Jesus' overarching message of Salvation.

The Legacy of Women in the Bible
"The Legacy of Women in the Bible" examines several of the popular Bible stories that are always told from the perspective of the men involved, but instead looks at them from the woman's perspective. This study also examines some of the complex statements made about the roles of women in the church in Paul's letters. Rev. Osborn offers fresh insights into these verses, and makes them simple to understand in the modern context.

Judges: A Prophetic Commentary for the 21st Century Church
The book of Judges is more than ancient history; it can also speak prophetically to the 21st century church - and to America in particular. When read as prophecy (that is as a directive word from God for His people to follow here and now), the book of Judges becomes a cry to the church to remember their divine calling to be a holy people, separated unto God with a mission to fulfill in this world. The prophetic reading of Judges will at once convict (John 16:8-11) modern-day Christians to "test and see" if they are in the will of God. Judges was written to provoke all those who call upon the name of the Lord to ask Him to give them the power to overcome this world and its temptations - lest they find themselves defeated and swept away by the evil rulers of the unseen realm, which are those powerful satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world (Ephesians 6:10-20). This 21st Century Commentary will draw prophetic parallels between the time and place of the period of the Judges and our present time and place. Sometimes controversial, but always thought-provoking, this book is intended as a call to action for all faithful Christians to be radical followers of God, to put on the full armor of God, stand firm, and without fear resist the forces of evil in this dark hour.

The Healthy Heart
In the year 2014, Frederick Osborn wrote Our Jehovah Rapha: A Christ Centered, Holistic Approach to Wellness. In The Healthy Heart, the author breaks out one section of one chapter of that book called “Maintaining Maximum Mental and Emotional Health.” In his more than 35 years as a Christian, and more than 12 years in full-time ministry, preaching and teaching the Word of God around the world, the author has discovered how many desperate, hurting people there are in the world who, like him, are in need of deep emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. It is for them and for those who love them that he wrote this book.

Jesus Over India: A 52 Week Spiritual Journey Through the Heart of India
Jesus Over India: A 52-Week Spiritual Journey Through the Heart of India is a perfect prayer and study guide for those who have a calling for World Missions. Drawing from his many years of experience on the mission fields of South Asia, the author has created a platform for prayer warriors, senders, and for those who may be sensing a call to one of the many harvest fields of India. This book is intended (1) to inform Christians who may know little or nothing of the wonder and complexities of 21st Century India; (2) to hopefully inspire others with a heart for missions to consider India as a mission field; or (3) to encourage brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for Christians doing the work of evangelism, and for those in India who do not know Jesus. The guide is designed to allow the reader to set aside one special time of prayer each week. There is a weekly reading that will describe something about the people, culture, and religions of India; a prayer point is given; and space is provided for the reader to make personal notes and prayer points. At the end of the year, the reader will be able to pray effectively for the people of India and those who working to reach the unreached in South Asia.

Following Christ on the Indian Road - A Missionary's Story of Discipleship
Following Christ on the Indian Road is more than a news account of who, what, where, and when of a missionary's life. It is the account of one man's spiritual journey from a life shattered by sin to a man who is now being used by God in a remarkable way to impact the lives of thousands for Christ by sharing with others the mystery of the life of discipleship that every believer is called to follow. The accounts in this autobiography are honest and direct without any attempts to sensationalize or inflate the story or glorify the life of the author. The life of discipleship is the narrow road that leads to the promise of a life lived out of resurrected life of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This story will help point the way for others who are seeking first the kingdom of God and are willing to pay the cost of entering in.

Exploring the Old Testament: The Pentateuch - A Complete Survey in Three Volumes
Although most of the Old Testament is in the form of history, it is essential to understand that it is not merely human history, but it is human history written from God's point of view - or more specifically, human history from God's point of view as it relates to Abraham and his descendants. The human stories included in the Old Testament are not there simply because they happened, but they are there because they reveal something about the relationship between God the Creator of all things and His creation. Exploring the Old Testament will take the Bible student beyond the simple Sunday school lessons and journey deeper into the books of the Bible while avoiding the often confusing, murky waters of higher criticisms of the Bible texts. In the end, the student will have a greater understanding and appreciation of the writings that make up the Old Testament and have a guide to further studies.

Exploring the New Testament
Exploring the New Testament is a result of Frederick Osborn's many years of hands on experience of teaching the Bible on the mission fields of South Asia. This book is part of a Bible survey that has been taught to pastors, evangelists, and lay leaders who have little or no study materials in their indigenous language. Each lesson is introduced with a picture that is used as a visual aid to help the student understand and remember the basic concepts of the books of the New Testament. This survey is divided into 20 lessons (the Introduction plus 19 Lessons covering all 27 books of the New Testament) that can be used in a classroom, any small group setting, or for personal Bible study. When preparing these lessons the author took great pains to avoid any denominational leanings and stayed away from the use of any anecdotes to fill in the lessons. At the same time, this study avoids the language of seminary theologians and academics who often write in a scholarly language that only other scholars can understand. This book is written in such a way that the layperson can understand. It is an ideal tool for the pastor or ministry leader to use to teach Sunday school lessons, or for a Bible college introduction to the New Testament.
"It is my hope that everyone who reads and studies Exploring the New Testament will join with us in prayer that this book may be used according to the command of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to 'make disciples' for him. I highly recommend it" - Bob Binkley, President of Bibles for All Ministries, USA.

Disciple-to-Disciple
Being a disciple is only part of what Christians have been called to; we have also been called to "go and make disciples." This is the Great Commission: being salt and light to the world as we make disciples. The intended result of being salt and light to the world is to go and make disciples. "Disciples making disciples" (D2D) is an integral part of Kingdom Discipleship: disciples teach and are being taught. Those who are more mature in Christ and who are further along in the process are the "trailblazers" who teach and train other disciples to follow Christ. The Great Commission will be fulfilled as we equip, educate, and encourage disciples to go and evangelize the lost. Disciple-to-Disciple Study Guide leads the student step-by-step through Jesus' methods of teaching His disciples. Once this Study Guide is completed and Jesus' methods applied, the student will be able to fulfill the mandate to go make disciples like Jesus.

Deceived! Overcoming the Age of Mass Deception - The Church in the Age of Mass Media
The 20th century was the beginning of an entirely new age of mass media; and with it came the ability of the few to not only exercise political power over the masses, but also through the power of electronic media, fundamentally alter the way people think and behave. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 indicates that a time will come when Satan's tool "the lawless one" will come and trick everyone with "strange demonstrations, and will do great miracles." The mass media is the most powerful tool ever invented to propagandize and control the masses. People are vulnerable to mind control because they have been programed by the mass media to believe deceptions. And so they have lost their love for the truth. As punishment, God will allow them to believe the lies and reject the Truth. They will get what they want and will revel in their life of sin... for as long it lasts. Satan's plan is to seduce the church and deceive Christians to join this rebellion. But God has provided His church with the ways and means to know the truth and overcome in the Age of Mass Media.

Kingdom Econmics
How to be Blessed to be a Blessing
First published as "Building Wealth 2: Kingdom Economics In the 21st Century", Frederick Osborn described the sound principles of wealth and wealth-building from the experts in their fields and included Jesus’ teachings on wealth and possessions. He recognized that one of the greatest – and most tragic – failures of pastors, teachers, and other ministry leaders in the church today is the lack of proper teaching on this most important subject. The Bible probably has more to say about money and wealth than practically any other subject, but that does not necessarily mean what people think it means. Being materially blessed by God is not about us living like kings and queens in this world as a prelude to us all living in our heavenly mansions. Quite the contrary: building wealth is in fact about being blessed to be a blessing. We can never understand that until we fully understand and embrace Jesus’ teachings on material blessings.
Kingdom Economics: Being Blessed to Be a Blessing should be for every follower of Jesus Christ, but few will choose that way of living. Being blessed to be a blessing involves a higher spiritual vision that sees beyond the temporal and allows us to see the eternal, present reality of the kingdom around us. When that happens, wealth and possessions become means to an end and not ends in themselves. The economics of the kingdom are similar to the world’s economics in that the principles of building wealth are the same, but they are radically different in how that wealth is applied. What matters in the kingdom is how we use what God has placed into our hands.
Frederick Osborn offers his unique perspective on money and the kingdom of God from his experience from living in the USA and after spending twelve years on the mission fields of South Asia. It is only when someone sees and understands the kingdom of God that they can see the wisdom of building wealth by giving it away. That is one of the many mysteries of the kingdom that Jesus taught about in His parables directed to His disciples. And this is one of the mysteries of the kingdom that this book addresses.

One Holy Passion- A Daily Devotional Guide for 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting for the 1040 Nations
After returning from the mission field in India for another visit to the US, I was presented with a copy of a prayer guide written by the wife of my Pastor, Sis. Rosemary Lester. Our home church was nearing completion of a time of prayer and fasting inspired by her devotional guide, "One Holy Passion." Immediately, I recognized this material as something that could be as inspirational and meaningful to the church in India as it was to my home church family. I edited the guide, added the material by Dr. Cooper and Bill Bright, had it translated into Tamil, printed, and distributed. When Sis. Rosemary visited Chennai in January, 2007 I presented a copy to her.
Because Rosemary Lester wrote this Daily Devotional Guide to speak to the members of our church during our special 40-day period of prayer and fasting leading up to Easter Sunday, 2006, it was my task as Editor to preserve as much of the original content as possible, while making "One Holy Passion" meaningful and relevant to as many people as possible. As I reworked this material, I could sense the love and compassion of Rosemary for the Lord and for His body, the church on every page. Those who use this guide for strength, direction, and exhortation will, I believe, find Rosemary's loving words echoing the Holy Spirit's voice encouraging them to persevere to the end of their own 40-day spiritual journey. Although "One Holy Passion" was originally intended for a specific church to use for a specific period of time, it can now be used by any individual or group and can be started any time of the year.
In addition to the Daily Devotional Guide I included in this work the same supplemental instructional material that was in the Tamil to help believers understand the discipline of prayer and fasting from the Christian context. Finally, I added more quotes from respected Christians on the subject of prayer and fasting, and some information on the people, culture and religions from around the world.
The final result is what you now hold in your hand. May this prayer and fasting guide lead you on your own personal spiritual journey and at the same time lead you to pray and fast for missions and missionaries around the world. May God bless all who surrender themselves in "One Holy Passion" for His glory.

From Genesis to Revelation: Interpreting the book of Revelation through the Old Testament Scriptures
The roots of Revelation are sunk deep into the Old Testament Scriptures so interpreting the book of Revelation through the lens of the Old Testament Scriptures is nothing new, but it is unique for modern interpreters of John’s Apocalypse to explore in great detail the connection between John’s Apocalypse and the books of the Old Testament.
A fact that is often overlooked by the modern reader of Revelation is how much John’s vision depends upon the Old Testament for its context – especially the prophetic books. This book avoids the sensationalism and wild speculations of some Futurist-Millennialist interpreters, while shunning the liberalism of purely symbolical interpretations on one side and the rigid brackets of Historicist and Preterist interpretations on the other. The author uses the Old Testament Scriptures to bring into clear focus many of the verses of John’s visions of the End Times. Because From Genesis to Revelation takes no definitive stand on any of the four major traditional approaches to interpreting Revelation, the material included in this book can be helpful for any student of Revelation, regardless of their theological approach. Because the author respects the different interpretations of Revelation, this book can be helpful for those who are struggling to understand the Apocalypse of John to decide which of the four theological approaches to Revelation may be best. At the same time, studying the hundreds of references to the Old Testament in Revelation should help lay to rest the doubts of anyone who questions whether or not John’s book deserves a place in the New Testament Canon.
From Genesis to Revelation is written for a broad audience that may be less familiar with the higher criticisms of the Bible but who want more than a surface knowledge of Revelation.

THE CHURCH IN CRISIS
In “The Church in Crisis” the author draws on his more than thirty years of experience as a Christian to address just three of the issues that are shaping – and in some cases misshaping – the church as it approaches the end of its second millennium of existence. In the first short essay,“The New Gnosis: The Gospel Under Fire In the 21st Century,” the author examines the influence of neo-gnostic ideas on the way Christians understand the Word of God. He encourages believers to stand fast upon the eternal revealed word and not to bend to the fashionable modern critics of the Bible. In the second short essay, “Christians at the Postmodern Well: Communicating Christ in the Postmodern World,” the author examines the effects of postmodern philosophy upon the minds of this generation of young people. He shares some thoughts on how to address those who are under the spell of postmodernism. In the next essay the author revisits David Wilkerson’s alarming prophetic vision for America’s future in Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth: Hosea 8:1. In the final and longest essay, “The Church vs. Homosexuals: A Christian Response to the Contemporary Conflict,” the author draws upon his personal experiences and his faith to address this fiery topic that is dominating the news media and fundamentally transforming Christian America at the dawn of this century. The author believes that if the church in America is going to survive spiritually until the Lord’s return, Christians need to have at least a basic understanding of these issues and why it is important for the church to continue to stand fast upon its principles – rooted and grounded in Christ.

Kingdom Discipleship: Becoming Like Jesus
The way of Kingdom Discipleship is not one of several options for Christians to choose from. There is no other offer being made. Jesus made it clear to all who want to follow Him that they must follow Him on HIS terms alone or they will never make it until the end. Being a disciple of Jesus is the ONLY way to become all that we are intended to be. We who were saved from the world are on the way to becoming fully formed into god's image; and Kingdom Discipleship is the means to that end. Kingdom Discipleship is what Jesus taught His disciples. It is the way to the life of Christ abiding within the heart of the believer.
Since introducing the Study Guide on Kingdom Discipleship, it is being taught in churches and small group studies as part of discipleship training. This book is intended to be a companion to the Study Guide. They can be used together or separately for individual or group study.

The Apocalyptic Vision: Understanding the Apocalyptic Writings of the Bible
The study of apocalyptic literature is a daunting task for the average Bible-believing Christian. The wild images of Revelation with its beasts, trumpet blasts, and earth shattering events that usher in a time of great tribulation, will often confuse and mystify the modern reader. Most modern preachers skip the laborious task of explaining to their congregations John’s visions as they relate to other ancient apocalyptic writings. However, examining the New Testament’s apocalyptic verses without attempting to understand their original intended meanings will almost always lead 21st century Christians to attempt to apply these ancient writings to a modern setting in unintended ways.
The parallels between the ancient world and today go far to explain the popularity of biblical apocalyptic literature. Without resorting to sensationalism, “The Apocalyptic Vision” examines the genre of apocalyptic literature beginning with the ancient Jewish prophetic writings of the Bible, through the post-exilic Jewish literature, and on through the early centuries of Christian thought. The lessons in this book will give the average Christian a strong foundation for deeper studies of apocalyptic literature.
